This course will cover the new OSHA Confined Space Rule, 29 CFR 1926 Subpart AA for construction.
This 1-day course meets OSHA permit-required confined space standard 1926 Subpart AA requirements for Competent Person, Entrant, Attendant, and Entry Supervisor training. Course covers all parts of the OSHA standard as well as a hands-on practical exercise for a non-entry rescue into a permit-required confined space. Topics covered are case studies of fatalities, evaluation, entry, hazards, training, instrumentation, ventilation, entry permits, permit space programs, competent person requirements, and rescue.
OSHA requires the employer to provide training to all employees who work in or around confined spaces or permit-required confined spaces, before they begin work and this training must be certified by the employer. All employees who enter manholes, sewage lift stations, wet wells, septic tanks, meter pits, vaults, storm drains, or tanks are required to have this training.
